RLF Consulting is an established forward thing Land Surveying and Mapping firm dedicated to providing quality and dependable professional surveying through technological solutions. We are seeking qualified individuals to join our team that possess the skills and qualities described below:

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in preparing survey drawings in CAD
  • Experience with MS Office 365 Cloud, Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required in order to be able to perform all essential duties of this job. Applicants with demonstrated skills with other similar software products will be considered but will be expected to quickly develop their skills with these products.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment with technical and professional competence in land surveying.
  • Experience with data derived from UAS (drones) or the willingness to learn is a plus.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks at one time.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Plan, organize, and prepare finished survey drawings, including but not limited to ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Topographic Surveys, surface modeling, Final Plats, Legal Descriptions, and other technical drawings.
  • Function as a point of contact concerning the surveying aspects of his/her project, including conflict resolution.
  • Assure compliance to professional and company standards and procedures. Perform initial QA/QC and submit for final review of the survey documents to Survey Director.
  • Assist Survey Director to assure that all internal documents such as project proposals, contracts, budgets, and invoicing are prepared accurately.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paved team environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in survey project management with progressive growth in technical and managerial skills. Professional Registration as a land surveyor in the state of primary work assignment is required. Professional licensure in other states is desired and pursuit of such additional licensure is strongly encouraged.
  • Experience with MS Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD C3D software is required in order to be able to perform all essential duties of the job. Applicants with demonstrated skills with other similar software products with be considered but will be expected to quickly develop their skills with these products.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement as well as technical and professional competence in land surveying.
  • Familiarity with applying financial data to project management; thinking and planning strategically; the building organization and leadership of teams and an understanding of project management skills is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.

Essential Duties:

  • Plan, Organize and Lead the daily survey activities of assigned staff in the accomplishment of client project tasks.
  • Function as primary contact point for the client concerning the surveying aspects of his/her project, including conflict resolution.
  • Participate in initial client meetings regarding new project proposals, as well as, project kickoffs to ensure a clear understanding of the complete project.
  • Prepare proposals for clients including scope of work, pricing, time schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Assure compliance to professional and company standards and procedures. Perform initial QA/QC and final review of the survey documents.
  • Assist Survey Director to assure that all internal documents such as project proposals, contracts, project budget reviews, time card submittals, invoicing and project setup are timely and accurate.
  • Function as a mentor to assigned staff.

  • Working knowledge of boundary, ALTA/ACSM, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Staking.
  • High proficiency in use of GPS, Robotic Total Stations, leveling and electronic data collections.
  • UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) 107 preferred at hire.
  • Proficiency in interpreting plans, and calculations prepared by office staff.
  • Proficiency in performing field calculations as needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 products (outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret legal descriptions, plats or other documents necessary to retrace boundary and determine control.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or the willingness to learn is desired.
  • UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) or the willingness to learn is desired.
  • Must be a team player with the willingness to solve problems.
  • Must have a clean driving record.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in survey project management with progressive growth in technical and managerial skills. Professional Registration as a land surveyor in Arizona is requited or the ability to obtain within 12 months. Professional licensure in other states is desired and pursuit of such additional licensure is encouraged.
  • Experience with MS Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required in order to be able to perform all essential duties of this job. Applicants with demonstrated skills in similar software products will be considered but will be expected to quickly develop their skills with these products.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment as well as technical and professional competence in land surveying.
